Haunted by the death of his father, Boba Fett continues his training as a bounty hunter. He learns the skills of this dangerous trade from the Trandoshan hunter Bossk and the ruthless Aurra Sing. Jango's son is determined to follow in his father's footsteps as a powerful bounty hunter, and is eager to fight the Jedi who defeated his father.

Whether you like the animated The Clone Wars line or not, even the most vehement opposition cannot deny just how well made figures in this line are becoming. They have progressed so much since the 2008 introduction of the line and it quite honestly flabbergasts us where Hasbro’s newfound standards lie. While there have been a few slight setbacks in the line (like 2010's TCW [S2] Clone Commander Stone (CW44) figure being the new template for clone troopers), Hasbro has really gone beyond the call of duty for many others and have created a whole new expectation in collectors for current and future characters. One prime example is young Boba Fett. This figures shines in every nook and cranny and it is perhaps the best interpretation of him that we may ever see again in the rest of The Clone Wars line. Hasbro has found a clever way to incorporate ball-joints into the hips of so many of the newer figures and we just want to see it continue to come in the rest. And even though Boba Fett has it where it counts in the articulation department, he also is breathtakingly gorgeous in sculpt and paint job. And again, it doesn’t stop there. His removable accessories and parts interact flawlessly with the action figure and Hasbro has ensured that proportions were not sacrificed in any way. From the parting of his hair to the cuffs on his pants, Boba Fett one amazingly developed action figure. Let us start going into detail to explain what we mean better.

We got our first young Boba Fett in 2010's TCW [SOTDS] The Rise Of Boba Fett Ultimate Battle Packs set, but that version of him just doesn't come close. (And that was a great figure!) Boba Fett is blessed with 24 points of (mostly) premium articulation. He has a ball-jointed head, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and ankles. This means that 11 out of 14 of his points are the highly desirable ball joints. This allows for incredible posing options and still allows the action figure to maintain a natural looking form. (Just because an action figure is loaded with articulation doesn’t mean that it makes him look great.) But Hasbro has ensured that Boba Fett does indeed look phenomenal. We are taken with his portrait. This is absolutely the most incredible likeness of the animated version of young Boba Fett we have ever seen. And it makes us want to thank and shake the hands of the sculptor who created it. This is artistic genius at its best and we couldn’t be more thankful for a flawless execution of Fett’s likeness. Many sneering fans have claimed that the animated figures are easier to relay into plastic than the realistic characters. That may be somewhat true, but once you check out this figure we doubt you’ll be bale to contain your comments of praise for it. It is absolutely that good and we are so ecstatic that this figure came out as well as it did. The have frozen an awesome expression in Boba Fett’s face. Whether he is about to attack or he is thinking of a diversion, it’s all their in his face. We are thoroughly impressed to say the least.

Boba Fett comes with removable chest plate armor (which also makes up 50% of his jetpack). It is very reminiscent of the Mandalorian armor we saw in the Original Trilogy and a proportionate jetpack has been sculpted to perfectly plug into a hole on his back. The parts have been checked by the factory to ensure they fit like a glove and we are again thoroughly impressed with this. There is nothing more frustrating than a backpack or jetpack that won’t stay in place (Clone Commander Cody – you know who you are), and there is no worry of that at all here thankfully. When the chest armor is removed, you get a version of Boba Fett that was much more prominent in The Clone Wars episodes. He is outfitted in a gray jumpsuit that is accented with a brown holster that stores his two Westar-34 blasters. This of course also reminds us of his adulthood too. The outfit is finished off with knee armor and ties together that Mandalorian spirit so well. Those jaded by The Clone Wars may never find solace in the animated line. And while we are staunch defenders of the movies, we can’t help but find a place in our heart for the likes of great action figures like Boba Fett. This is not a fluffy remark and we don’t get commission from Hasbro. It is our most honest assessment that Boba Fett is one amazing action figure. And we really cannot wait to see what other characters from this line get this royal treatment. To pass on this figure would be a huge error. Boba Fett is an action figure not to miss!
