Grand Admiral Thrawn - TBS [P4] - Six Inch Figures (AH12)

The last unaccounted-for Grand Admiral of the Imperial Navy, Thrawn is a brilliant military commander. Should he return to the galaxy, he has the potential to plunge the New Republic into war once again.

Remember when demonic DEIsney indirectly trashed the old Expanded Universe, and then all those freaks came out of the woodwork telling longtime fans how it was all garbage and needed to be filed under ‘don’t unhide ever again’? And then it was only a matter of a few short years that desperate Disney began to resurrect some of the biggest old EU characters into their new, dreadful, and pathetic stories in Disney+. Yeah, we do too. We can’t say that we’re a fan of Grand Admiral Thrawn’s appearance in Star Wars: Ahsoka, but at least they are honoring classic Star Wars characters in the hellhole that is the absolute garbage of Disney Star Wars. They crafted a new action figure in The Black Series 6-inch line to align with the Star Wars: Ahsoka series, and from what we can tell, it turned out well for what it is. Grand Admiral Thrawn has a slightly different Ahsoka costume and a somewhat rotund body shape. The character has gotten older, we suppose, and has a mild aged look and facial appearance, too. The figure comes with the most recent articulation system, and Hasbro was careful to paint the figure well and give its simple color palette some richness and texture. Grand Admiral Thrawn comes with a blaster pistol and nothing else. The figure has an ever-so-slightly wobbly center of gravity. We had minor difficulties posing the figure as needed for our Photo Galley. The few fans who liked Ahsoka will likely appreciate the release of this action figure. Still, with a dwindling collector base because of the dreadful Star Wars content these days, we don’t anticipate this figure will become a roaring success. Grand Admiral Thrawn also comes in the new “squared” box, which appears to cross-pollenate the standard packaging style with some of the “woke” components of the plastic-free update that they quickly put to death. Grand Admiral Thrawn is for fans of the character, and if you want another flavor, this is your chance.
