Qui-Gon Jinn (Force Spirit) - TBS [P4] - Six Inch Figures (OWK16)

At the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi's long journey, he encounters the spirit of his old friend and mentor: venerable Jedi Master and student of the living Force, Qui-Gon Jinn.

It was inevitable that The Black Series 6-inch collectors would receive a "Force Ghost" version of Jedi characters that died in the Star Wars films and come back as vapory purple hues of their once flesh form. The newest addition to the line is Qui-Gon Jinn (Force Ghost), based on a scene from Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series. If you go back a few years, Hasbro introduced Qui-Gon Jinn into the 6-inch line in 2017 with a first-time feature: separately sculpted eyes. The experiment failed, and then when they reissued the figure for the Lucasfilm 50 collection, they redid the head sculpt without separately sculpted eyes, and the portrait turned out infinitely better. For the Qui-Gon Jinn (Force Spirit) figure, they took 2021's TBS [L50] figure with the updated head sculpt and recast it in translucent plastic to create this release. Qui-Gon Jinn (Force Spirit) has a translucent soft-goods purple outer robe and no other accessories. A hilt would have been a lovely addition here. This figure is not much more than a static display figure. The likeness still looks excellent, and there is some charm with the see-through plastic and transitioning colors throughout the figure. But we're still wondering how many will find interest in these action figures, especially since they cost the most money out of all previous versions. If you enjoyed Obi-Wan Kenobi, you might want to add this figure to your collection, but if you didn't like it, this release may be an easy pass.
