Out of nowhere, Amazon placed two never-before-revealed characters from the Galaxy Of Adventures line from Hasbro up for pre-order as a two-pack. Although they came packaged inside of the same box, the two figures are packaged individually. The Imperial Stormtrooper is the other figure in this set. It also came with the Beskar-armored Din Djarin, The Mandalorian figure. Likely the end of the Galaxy Of Adventures 5-inch line, the Imperial Stormtrooper is another excellent addition to complete the line. It works for fans of the Original Trilogy and those who love new Star Wars Entertainment, like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Mandalorian. The Imperial Stormtrooper is in animated style like all the other figures line the line. So, you’re going to have to accept its exaggerated features before considering this addition to your collection. With a shiny white army and an E-11 blaster rifle, the Imperial Stormtrooper doesn’t break too much new ground for the Galaxy Of Adventures line but is one excellent-looking action figure nonetheless.

Collectors should give Hasbro credit for the Galaxy Of Adventures line, even if you’re not a fan of the new 5-inch scale. The efforts Hasbro put into the line are nothing short of extraordinary. From the buttery smooth and correctly functioning articulation system to the flawless paint operations, the Galaxy Of Adventures line proves Hasbro is capable of making high-quality action figures. But with any new line of action figures, if you don’t keep it rolling for a couple of years, but now this figure feels like it’s the proper goodbye to the line. The Imperial Stormtrooper is another perfect example of a figure that should have been part of the wave that launched the Galaxy Of Adventures line. But ironically, it’s the last and retailer exclusive to boot. How does this happen? How could Hasbro not work more of the Original Trilogy characters into this format? We don’t believe collectors are army-building this line, but who couldn’t use more Imperial Stormtroopers in any scale in their collections? Based on the character’s appearance from the George Lucas era of Star Wars, the Imperial Stormtrooper is a testament that Hasbro still produces stunning action figures, regardless of the scale of style.

This release is an excellent action figure loaded with detail and articulation, and yes, sadly, an action feature. You don’t see paint operations this perfect on action figures, and the Galaxy Of Adventures line shows how much detail Hasbro can work into their action figures. The Imperial Stormtrooper has excellent articulation. But this detail is consistent for all of the Galaxy Of Adventures action figures. All of them have standard articulation, too, so don’t expect anything new implemented here. While we’re happy to see “rocker” ankles integrated into these figures, it frustrates us that Hasbro doesn’t consistently implement this type of articulation into all of the new The Vintage Collection action figures. We’ll continue to enjoy this line, but we hope others, even those who won’t purchase the line, will admit how gorgeous these figures are. We’re thrilled to see one of the main villains of the Original Trilogy added to the Galaxy Of Adventures line. It’s a shame that this line didn’t gain any momentum with fans of super-articulation. But Hasbro cocked up the Star Wars brand in 2015, and it’s beyond recovery at this point.
