Agent Kallus is a member of the Imperial Security Bureau, and commands units in both Imperial army and Imperial navy.

The sharp transition from super-articulation to five points of articulation was probably too much of a shock to the system of the collecting body. By the time the Rebels line made its debut, collectors had decided pretty much at that point that they were in or they were out. There was little to no middle ground on the issue. The line had one delay after another, but by the time it got out there was little room to deny that Hasbro had produced some very nice characters from the Rebels television show. But were they making all of the characters they need to make? Placing their resources in multiple formats and sub-lines, Hasbro brought the revised Hero Series collection (formerly called the 12-Inch Figures line) alongside the basic figure line. And interestingly enough, the large-sized action figures ended looking a whole lot better than the 3.75” basic action figures. Perhaps this is the intended scale for those so-called digital files from which these figures are made.

Agent Kallus, a very surprising choice if you ask us, was also brought forth into the larger Hero Series line. Perhaps Hasbro wanted someone to command all of the Hero Series Stormtroopers they were making. Anyhow, the Hero Series version turned out so much more nicely than the 3.75” version. His presence is commanding and his stature is alarming. He has an angry expression on his face and his out it perfectly tailored and fitted. All of these components make for a very intimidating a nicely produced Star Wars toy. Keeping in mind that this is intended for kids and not us, we have to say that Hasbro manufactured this item brilliantly and it’s frankly one of the nicest items in the entire Rebels line up. On top of better paint operations and a more definitive sculpt, Agent Kallus also comes with more articulated which increases the play value. There isn’t much here that a Star Wars collector of any age wouldn’t appreciate.

The nicest detail here for us is that Agent Kallus comes with a ball-socket head. This allows for a nice range of movement and more options than what a swivel head joint will provide. Agent Kallus also has a very nice paint job. The outfit is shiny black, but the chest armor is dull gray. The contrast is impressive and the ranking bade is colored with red and various blues. Everything is in place here and looks fantastic. He comes with a replica of the gun he wielded in the television show. But unlike the 3.75” figure, Hasbro added a hole to his back and a plug to the gun which allows him to wear it on his back when not in use. It might be a hokey convention for adult collectors, but trust us when we say that the kids will love this. Overall, we like the Hero Series Agent Kallus very much. It’s such a shame that Hasbro just can’t release all of the main characters at the same time. Just giving us a few random characters feels incomplete.
