If you want our honesty, we must concede that Paz Vizsla from the Epic Hero Series line is the best of the inaugural offerings. Weighty, bulky, and thick, this Mandalorian warrior tends to look fantastic in any scale that Hasbro produces. And now, in a 4-inch scale with simple articulation, the figure is another good addition to the Hasbro Star Wars brand, even if unnecessary. Hasbro painted the figure with a simple approach, but it’s also neatly decorated. The lines are clean, and the figure comes with few details. Hasbro decided to “upgrade” this figure to Deluxe status, so we got four accessories with the action figure. Hasbro added a removable backpack, a heavy blaster with a firing projectile, and a removable gauntlet with a flame effect attached to it. We couldn’t help but notice a trend with all the figures in this lineup, which seems intentional. Each comes with a hole in its back, and you’ll also find holes in the outer arms. Despite its unique tooling, the line is cookie-cutter, and Hasbro appears to have engineered interchangeability with a thoughtful approach. We don’t believe that the MSRP for this line is all that fair. And it feels overpriced if you want the truth. And we don’t understand the character selection in the Epic Hero Series line. Producing the same characters repeatedly in different scales is sometimes necessary, but it feels redundant here. That said, we still think that Paz Vizsla is a highlight in this new scale of action figures. This one might be worth your consideration.
