Once a Jedi Knight, Ahsoka Tano now forges her own path in the galaxy.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat. It’s the same old thing, no matter the scale. Hasbro focuses only on the main characters and has lost their vision of what a Hasbro Star Wars line is supposed to look like. Take, for instance, the Epic Hero Series line. We understand the need to keep the main characters in the line. Still, with so few background characters in any collection of figures, it’s becoming increasingly more painful to be a Star Wars collector. Ahsoka Tano, from Star Wars: Ahsoka, is another expected action figure for the Epic Hero Series line. It has a lot of characteristics of the Retro Collection line but with a slightly more animated style and a larger scale. The paint operations are pretty simple here, and the character is missing essential details that Hasbro saved money on by not including. Although simple, Ahsoka Tano has decent paint operations. For accessories, Hasbro included a lit lightsaber and a shoto. The figure comes with hands that Hasbro sculpted well to accommodate the hilts of both weapons. But aside from this, Ahsoka Tano doesn’t do much and barely feels like an enhancement to the Hasbro Star Wars line. At best, the figure feels unneeded. If you like a new scale of action figures, then the Epic Hero Series is for you, but with the mishandling of the Star Wars line for almost a decade now, it gives us little hope that things will improve from this untimely decline.
