Bastila Shan - TBS [P4] - Six Inch Figures (GG21)

Bastila Shan is a brash Jedi Knight during the Jedi Civil War of the Old Republic era. Bastila's affinity with the Force presents a serious threat to Darth Malak and his Sith fleet.

The Knights Of The Old Republic still has a strong following after so many years, and it comes without surprise that Hasbro continues to delve into creating and releasing new action figures based on these characters in the modern era of collecting. It's also a fair assessment to state that most are more compelling than 90% of the Disney Star Wars character base. So, the 6-inch finally has the hugely popular Bastila Shan, a female Jedi from the KOTOR video game. The Vintage Collection collecting base has had this character in action figure form since 2011, but with a re-release of that figure and a mostly new 6-inch version, Bastila Shan is once again in the consciousness of the Star Wars collecting community. Bastila Shan reuses the legs of 2023's Aayla Secura (AOTC03) figure, but the rest is all-new. The figure comes with a beautiful head sculpt and a stunning body design. The reused legs interact perfectly with the new parts. And Hasbro authentically replicated the colors and details of the character's costume exceptionally well. We're inordinately impressed with the portrait here. This figure looks like an attractive female, and the likeness they choose is far more advanced than what Hasbro was able to capture over a decade ago in The Vintage Collection. While unlikely, we'd love to see them convert the 6-inch tooling into a 3.75-inch scale and redo this figure for us. Bastila Shan comes with a hilt and two detachable yellow lightsaber blades. The figure achieves a wealth of poses and interacts with its accessory well. We now have the three major character characters from the Knights Of The Old Republic video game, which should make many collectors happy. It would be fantastic if they treated The Vintage Collection collectors to the same. Where most of the Gaming Greats action figures have been exclusive to GameStop, both Bastila Shan and Darth Malak are general release action figures and retail for $24.99 each.
