"Along time ago in a galaxy far, far away...."

The adventure continues with this exciting introduction of exclusives figures from the Star Wars trilogy! Authentically styled with incredible detail, each fully poseable,

COLLECT THEM ALL!

Han quiets C-3PO in an anxious moment when he learns Luke has not yet returned to Echo Base from a scouting expedition.

Another Action Collection figure that Kenner/Hasbro decided to revive and revitalize for the 1998 line was Han Solo (In Hoth Gear). Originally part of the 1997 POTF2 [R/G] Han Solo & Tauntaun Toys R Us exclusive Collector Series set, they took the Han Solo figure, repainted it and packaged it singly to help pad the second wave of Action Collection figures based on The Empire Strikes Back. In all frankness, Han Solo (In Hoth Gear) isn’t a terrible figure. Sure, the buck underneath the costume is too big and bulky, but Kenner/Hasbro developed a stunning costume for the figure and the overall result tuned out very well. The biggest difference between this release and the original is that they added snow to the costume this time. It looks more like cotton candy residue, but collectors should get what Kenner/Hasbro tried here. Also of note, Han Solo (In Hoth Gear)’s boots are also covered in “snow.” Also new to this release is a new blaster rifle (which also came with Luke Skywalker (In Hoth Gear) and fires a red projectile for extra play value. Han Solo (In Hoth Gear) is part of a fantastic wave of mostly repacked and tweaked Action Collection figures, but the figure feels like a wise decision for the 1998 lineup.
