Jeremoch Colton is the pilot of Senator Bail Organa’s ship, the Tantive IV. As Colton is flying the vessel into Coruscant, he receives a message from Chancellor Palpatine’s office, which he plays for Organa and his passengers Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

We were initially somewhat eager to get Jeremoch Colton as an action figure for a couple of reasons. For starters, the spirit behind his inclusion in Episode III was a fine example of homage paying at its best. It was nice to see the face behind Boba Fett (that didn’t look like Temura Morrison) and to an actor that immortalized the silhouette and silent attitude of most popular bounty hunter of our lifetime. No doubt made as a tribute to Boba Fett fans, rather than the much smaller fan base of Jeremoch Colton zealots – that was a joke, Jeremoch Colton is really nothing more than simply the face of the man who played Boba Fett, Jeremy Bulloch. And not that there was any intended link in Episode III, but the Mr. Bulloch’s face definitely deserved some screen time in the final film! It is also important to note that we rarely get figures who served in the good of the Republic, even though this was out of “character” for Jeremy Bulloch. Despite this rich history behind Jeremoch Colton, the final product didn’t deliver the way we had hoped. And we can actually pinpoint with ease on what makes this action figure immediately inferior. It is a character that we should have liked a lot better than we did. Unfortunately it isn’t an example of a fine action figure and we believe he could have been significantly better if one change was made. While we are fond of characters that basically serve as a cameo in the Star Wars films, we think this figure could have taken a much better approach to get made. (Fans and collectors should note that Jeremoch Colton was not the first time Jeremy Bulloch showed his face on screen, he had a cameo role in The Empire Strikes Back as an Imperial officer too. But this is the first time an action figure has been made showing his likeness).

While the figure has a fairly good likeness of the actor, we are more disappointed by the recycled parts used to make him. Hasbro went back too deeply (in our opinion) into their tooling archives and dusted of the 2005 ROTS Bail Organa (III 15) figure to utilize the legs. This is a bit frustrating as we would have rather seen Hasbro use the 2008 TLC Bail Organa (BD 26) figure because those legs were sculpted better and had more articulation and a significantly improved stance. Also, you are all aware how tall Bail Organa is in comparison to most other male Star Wars characters. Well, when you size Jeremoch Colton up against any random and recently released Boba Fett figure, you are going to be saddened that he is much taller than them. Don’t get us wrong, the costume looks pretty good and his headset fits well. And the sum of the figure works for the most part, but like we mentioned earlier, he could have easily been improved if Hasbro utilized some different parts. We don’t recall the 2005 ROTS Bail Organa (III 15) having this “one leg longer than the other” issue, but Jeremoch Colton suffers terribly by this and it is such a shame. While he is clearly a pilot that will be sitting, we find it unfortunate that he will have trouble standing. Although the knees are ball-jointed, there is not really a pose that can be attained that will aid in his shorter leg gaining the height needed to pose him straight and upright. Once again, this is very discouraging to us. If he had the 2008 TLC Bail Organa (BD 26) legs, there would have been a lot more options to work with for the figure’s betterment.

On a more positive note, Jeremoch Colton is colored very nicely. The light blue and grayish color used for the uniform looks sharp and does a lot to adding to the action figure. We encourage you to study the blood stripe on your sample before you purchase him. We have noticed quite a few with sloppy and uneven paint jobs and a clean line really gussies up the figure by leaps and bounds. The costume is very authentic to the film and this is impressive since half of him has been designed from another character. We don’t at all mind the use of older parts to make new action figures, but when there are better sculpts also readily available, it confuses us as to why Hasbro didn’t bring forth the more modern parts. His likeness is not that bad and looks very much like the seasoned actor we saw in Episode III. But we must comment that his hairline bleeds onto the forehead more than we would have wanted. Not terrible, we have had trouble finding samples that didn’t have this issue. Jeremoch Colton comes with a standard senatorial like gun. He can hold it very well and it actually completes him. We couldn’t imagine him without this great accessory. Although he is not the greatest action figure there ever was, we believe he enhances the collection as needed. And we are expected him to perform as well as 2008’s TLC Bail Organa (BD 26) and Breha Organa (BD 27), which is not well at all. Jeremoch Colton is certainly a figure that we would encourage you to think about before adding to your collection. He may not be able to impress you and we are having trouble being impressed ourselves. Sorry Hasbro!
